Leak detection at an oxygen station
Inspection of an air separation unit using a NACEx-PU camera with leak localization and report preparation in Aura SVS.

What are the consequences of leaks at the main switchgear?
This is an approximate estimate, not the actual losses at the surveyed facility. The amount of losses depends on the output of the water distribution unit, the volume of leaks, the operating mode, and the cost of electricity. The total is calculated before rounding.

Task: Find leaks in a running installation
At a metallurgical plant's oxygen plant, the main control unit needed to be inspected and areas identified for subsequent inspection and maintenance. The large number of pipelines, fittings, and hard-to-reach connections complicated the inspection.
It is necessary to localize the sources of leaks remotely and record their location on the equipment.
Solution: Visualization of Ultrasound Sources
A NACEx-PU visual and acoustic flaw detector was used for the inspection. An acoustic map helped identify leak sources and associate them with specific components.
The records were saved for analysis and automated report generation in Aura SVS. The device's flow rate estimate was used based on the specified survey parameters.

How is the examination carried out?
Study of the object
The control points and accessible positions for inspection are determined using the VRU diagram.
Preparing the camera
Select the leak detection mode and set the gas, pressure and distance parameters.
Pipelines and connections
Accessible flanges, welded joints and expansion joints are checked sequentially.
Inspection of available areas
Acoustically active zones are marked for further inspection; the exact location of the hidden leak requires clarification.
Valves and pump units
Check accessible seals, housings and connections, keep records of sources.
Comparison of results
They clarify the connection of sources to equipment and identify areas for inspection by specialists.
Preparing for Aura SVS
Combine footage, records, and notes into a report for maintenance planning and follow-up.

Result: Localized leak sources
The survey recordings document leak sources in the area of connections and valves. Acoustic maps allow for specific areas to be targeted for leak testing and repair.
The stored materials serve as the basis for reporting and re-examination after service.
